At least the other 2FA options work (text, email code), but I would like to get the Microsoft Authenticator app to work properly as it did before. I deleted the authenticator option from my additional security options and if I try to set it up again I get the same error message whether I try to set it up scanning a QR code or logging in using my password. When I try to to this from the Microsoft Authenticator app I get another message saying that "something went wrong please report an issue using the "send feedback" option and try again later". You can now select Set up Authenticator App. On the right, select Additional Security Verification. Under Authentication Contact Info, select Access Panel Profile. Scroll down to Authentication Contact Info and select Authentication Methods. Sign in to your account to back up your latest changes". Select the user account for which you wish to re-acquire the QR Code. I also started receiving a message in the Authenticator app that said "Sign in to update your backup. So I would say: if using Authy, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or any other authenticator app then keep your own backup of the TOTP secrets or QR codes. After changing my password, the Microsoft Authenticator app stopped challenging me and there was no other 2FA challenge (text or email code) even though 2FA is tuned on in my account. This allows me to move between authenticator apps without relying on their import/export functions. When I sign into my Microsoft account using my password, I would get challenged for 2FA via my Microsoft Authenticator app.
